Mother's Tombstone

(writen by Pearl Starr)

Placed on her mother's tombstone

Shed not for her the bitter tear,
Nor give the heart to vain regret,
'Tis but the casket that lies here,
The gem that fills it sparkles yet. "

Free Verse Love Poems
I am such a sap. :P Kept thinking of a certain somebody and couldn't help but write down how much I feel for this person. So, yeah. Here they are:

And every time I see you,
I wonder,
Do you ever dream..
Of me?

And when you looked my way
I couldn't help but get this feeling
Of both happiness
And uneasiness.

If I ever taste your lips,
I hope they're sweet,
But not too sweet.
For I don't ever want
To get sick of you.

How I long to be The One,
Your Only One,
Your Everything.

I see that you are leaving,
And it makes me sad.
But I'll be waiting for you,
Even if you never come back.

I would love to touch you,
Even if it were only a handshake.
That'd be enough for me.

I wonder, if we ever do get together,
Would we be able to be in love
With each other for years and years
To come? I hope so.

For every snowflake, every star,
Every grain of sand on Earth,
My love for you is infinite.

I want you to have this.
It's a gift from me to you.
It's my heart.
